We are going on a cruise to the Caribbean (balcony cabin) and then spending a few days in Miami. With airfare, cruise, shore excursions, car rental, etc we are spending about $3500 (we are on a budget).

That sounds awesome!!!!

FH and I are going to the Canary Islands for 10 days (Tenerife and Lanzarote) and then to Madrid for 2. I cant wait to hear about your honeymoon when you get back - right before I leave!

Nice hotels and coach airfare from NY to Madrid and to and from the islands, car rentals on both islands, insurance - about $7K

Food and entertainment will probably bring us to $10K

$3500 for 8 days/7 nights in Rome, Siena, and Florence ITALY. (Including hotels, air, limos from hotels to airport, train from Rome to Florence and Florence to Siena, and $100 a day allotment for lunch/dinner). We're staying in great hotels and they all offered free upgrades when I called and told them I was planning our HM.

(insurance included)

I booked it 100% myself using internet resources

It really depends on where your going. Hawaii and the French Polynesian HM's that alot of brides are going on now are going to be more expensive than the caribbean or something like that. We really wanted to do Hawaii but we only had a week and it wasn't worth it to spend so much for such a little amount of time. I'd rather wait until we can spend more time there. But we decided on:
Western Caribbean cruise , balcony room, one night in Miami- about $2500 . Our AMEX points paid for our airfare!!

We are spending a weekend in New Orleans and then doing a seven night cruise for under 3 - that includes hotel, airfare and cruise...
You shouldn't hate asking those questions - they're important... you want to make sure you're not getting 'hosed'.

$7000 for 12 days: 7-day cruise to so carribean and 5 day at all inclusive in Aruba (with airfare). We did a ton of research online but ended up using Liberty Travel in Commack because we got a deal. Also when working w/ a travel agent they use their connections to get you an upgrade. (what my GF who is a travel agent told me, but she only does cruises )

Less than $2000 for 1st class flight for 2 to Cabo.
The place=free (THANKS TO FBIL & FSIL for their timeshare!)
We will (of course) pay lots for food.

You don't have to do a super pricey vacation...there are a ton of places that you can go & live like a King & Queen. Just do your research...with the impending doom (the PRICE of the wedding), we wanted something inexpensive & where able to arrange it...we're jealous of European HMs...but will do it when we have some $$.

Mexico is less $$$, so is Puerto Rico (and both are really beautiful). It all comes to staying at nice suite in less $$ hotel. I love cruises and when you think that so much is included: it comes out to be quite the deal. All the prices above seem pretty good.

Good luck & have fun.

We're planning our own trip to Italy.

I estimate the whole trip will cost at least $8k.

About the same here. Flight was about $2,000 for both, hotels for 11 nights are about $4,000 , car for 7 days is around $400 ... and that's not even counting food and sight seeing. I guess it's the only time we'll really splurge on a trip like this.

We are considering a 12 day cruise to Hawaii and with everything except liquor (we are not big drinkers though) it is going to be 5K.
