I hate asking this, but.................

can any of you ladies tell me approx. how much $$ your spending on your honeymoon. We got some quotes today and I am not sure if they are a bit much or pretty standard.

Oops, I didnt include airfare- which we got a great deal on JetBlue. I think 800 for both of us!

Almost 6k! (Thats including air, insurance, tax, etc. but no meals included).

ETA: This is for beachfront.

i['m not sure cause fh is booking the honeymoon.. i'm not even sure where we're going.. but u shuold call another travel agent and compare the prices.. see if it's pretty close to standard. also compare the agency prices to like expedia or costco.. good luck! where r u going?

We are spending about 7K for round trip airfare, 5 nights in Rome, a balcony room for 9 nights on Royal Caribbean, and 2 nights in Barcelona where the ship lets off. That's including meals in Europe, some tours, and other stuff we figured we might buy. Definitely do your own research online and talk to a few travel agents. We saved a lot by not jumping at the first quote we got at AAA.

We rented a beautiful private cottage on Martha's Vineyard for 1 week and are then staying in a suite at a B&B in Newport for 3 nights. Lodging was about $2000 - we budgeted 4k for the total HM but I don't think we're going to be spending that much.
We bought a house so money is tight.

I think ours was close to $6K for eight days at the Sandals Grande St Lucia. But we didn't get the cheapest room (not the most expensive, either.)

Yeah, it was a lot of money considering we want to buy a house, but it was our honeymoon. It was worth it, too, we had an amazing time.

around 11K for 14 days...Hawaii (Maui and Kaui) and San Francisco. But thats all first class and four or five star hotels. Mucho dinero but hopefully it will be worth it! (and my bridal party gave us 2200 towards the plane tickets!)

around $6500 for teh St Lucia Grande - all meals, drinks, watersports included, we got the penthouse suite for 10 days
it also included airfaire and insurance

We're planning our own trip to Italy.

I estimate the whole trip will cost at least $8k.

We are going to Sandals St. Lucia and got a very good room, it's all inclusive, and airfare its about 5K for 7 nights 8 days.

Our cost was 800 moe, I saw a commercial about a sale they had and we alreayd had a great room but upgraded it, and since that room was on sale it knocked $800 off the balance!

We are spending a week at Couples Swept Away (in Jamaica) in the priciest room for just under 4k including airfare.

I hate to say this, but I'm rather suspicious of travel agents when the word 'honeymoon' is involved... I think they purposely bump up the room to a suite, whether or not the couple requests it, and inflate the bill....

we booked our own honeymoon online. we went to athens, two towns in crete, and santorini for a total of 10 days, and spent under $4500... I should mention we stayed in comfy areas, and did not have to compromise on anything... Considering we had 4 destinations, I think we did pretty well.

don't worry about how much others spend.... just figure out what you and FH consider a reasonable budget, time length, and destination, and go for it. To calculate what is reasonable, search online using tripadvisor, and different airline websites....
