I HATE HOUSE HUNTING!!!!!!

Esp. with my Dh ...he is soooooo picky....AGHHHHHHH I just needed to vent!!!!! Is there affordable housing ANYWHERE IN SUFFOLK????

Go more out east, and look into SONYMA mortage they pay your closing costs.. it could be a savings of about 10,000 (we are saving $12,000)..

I know what you mean my FH was soooo picky we have completely different taste and ideas. But we found one we both loved in Farmingville. I really thought we were going to be looking for at least another year.

I cant symphatize! FH and I looked every weekend for 4 months! it was so annoying!

Make sure you check out websites like coldwell banker and century 21, they have alot of exclusive listings so they dont appear on mls! That is how we found ours!

I hear you! My FH and I just went to a bunch of open houses today!! AGHHH!! First of all we can't afford what we want in the area we want. Second of all, everything is already taken!! Everyone tells me that it takes a lot of time....it is so frustrating! They also say that we'll 'know' when we find the house we want. Who knows!

WOW! That sounds great!! Why do they pay your closing costs? Is it a higher interest rate? I'm sorry if I sound cynical...but it just sounds too good to be true.

We went to two open house...total cr+p!!!! now I just sepnt about an hour online searching through web sites using the classifieds as a guide!!!
How the heck am I supposed to go back for my second masters, work and house hunt? it's like another full time job...TEN TIMES WORSE THAN WEDDING PLANNING!!!!!

WOW....Sorry you Ladies are having such a bum time looking for a house. I cannot wait to look for a house. I know Danielle and I are probably going to have a hard time finding something that we both like, since we never agree on anything....but I know it is going to be fun to go looking.

I love going to open houses and stuff.

If we get outbidded on our latest house and I have no doubt that we will since there are now 5 bids in on this house (we were the first then they had an open house), I am seriously going to give up and look for a cardboard box big enough for 3! I have truly had it. With all the houses that we have looked at I have seen 2 that I thought were worth the money that we would be paying 1 that was OK and the rest a recking ball could do a better job of taking care of the house then the people that currently live there. I would say that we have looked at around 30 houses. I am so done! I don't want to look any more. I see more possibilities living in my car. At least my car I can put in a location I like and it is already a color I like.

I wish my hubby wasn't so cheap- he has low balled on the 2 houses we have loved and we lost them both because of that!

scott..trust me...I was really excited until it all started....
Going to open houses and starting bids is like an instant recipe for fights!!!! It gets very stressful and you would be surprised at how different your tastes will be ...

Jess it does happen because I have to tell you when we were posting about this yesterday I thought we lost the house I didn't find out we had it until late yesterday. We jumped on it and got the engineer in today. I seriously didn't think that it would happen. We went out for chinese food Sunday night and I was saying to DH that I give up and I don't want to look anymore. But in the end we got it. It will happen.
