I went to bridal reflections for my first fitting on Saturday and I really hate my dress now. i ordered it last February (very stupid decission on my part), from a trunk show so i haven't been able to visit or see it since then i don't know what to do. Have any of you ever loved a dress, or thought you did, and hated after seeing so many others after the fact???? I really don't have the time or money to put into another gown and i am so upset by this I didn't take any pictures at my fitting because i cried the entire time
UGLY??? That dress is gorgeous...and I am NOT just saying that, because if I didnt like it I would just not post ...You will look beautiful! I think it will look even more stunning in white too!

I actually think the dress is beautiful. I am learning that a lot of girls feel this way once they decide on THE dress...... is there anything particular you dislike?

I actually like it. I admit I don't like it in that color, but I think it would be very pretty in white! I wouldn't lie to you to make you feel better. If I didn't like it, I just wouldn't respond to your thread.
However, if YOU really hate it, I would suggest going to a David's bridal or Kleinfeld's trunk sale. Provided you can fit into one of their samples you might like, you can get a new dress for dirt cheap. This was the case with my mom and a friend.

I haven't ordered my dress yet, so I can't relate so much but I am sure at some point, I am going to doubt my decision.. I hope I don't but you never know!!

Andrea - I just showed this post to my co-worker and we both agree that the dress is absolutely stunning! Gorgeous! My co-worker asked if she could have it!!!
Honestly sweetie - the dress is beautiful, and it's unique - haven't seen anything else out there like yours.

I only got a chance to see my dress in champagne (I ordered it in white and yes, I never saw so much as a picture before I ordered it and my mom put down the money). I saw it Tuesday and was relieved, but if I were you I'd probably just roll with it. Chances are, your guests will be much less critical than you. Also, at least it has a lot of work and detail. It looks like a classy dress.

is it a Stephen Yearick? I am sure I tried that dress on and I think it is stunning...and if I wasn't so short I would have strongly considered it. I loved all the beadwork and it was sooooooooo royal I felt like a princess in it. It was sooo sparkly and ..oh man..it was just so perfect for a grand wedding....anyway...I am sorry about how you feel..could it be just general wedding stress that may be projected towards the dress?

for what it's worth, I HATED my dress at my first fitting because I had lost a lot of weight and it was falling off of me. I wasn't able to get a good visual of what it would look like altered and I was so depressed.
once the dress is fitted to you I am willing to bet that you will love it again, just like I did

i think its beautiful!! i think once it fits and your hair and makeup is done and your at your wedding you will look and feel stunning!! sleep on it before you make any decisions but if you are really unhappy i would look into alternatives, you could probably sell it and get some money back if you find something you really love. i'd probably go back on a day i felt realy good about how i looked and had my hair done and makeup on and give it another try before deciding what to do.
