ok so i posted earlier today that i was going to pick up my e-pics....well i hate them and i am so upset about it

we took like tons of pics and they give you 45 of those. I really only like a few all of which are us like in the distance.

some i hate bc my hair looks terrible or i think i look fat so that is not a reflection of the photographer. However, theres a lot that we are making funny faces or in the most awkward positions so im trying to figure out why those pics were included in our 45. I guess the rest were soo bad that these were really the best ?!?!?! Otherwise I am not sure why he would include most of the pictures.

now i am torn about what to do...i had planned on using the pics for our STDs and our table #s.

i can probably pick one for the STD, but would it be weird to use a pic of us in a distance rather than a closeup?

the table #s i will have to scratch bc i dont like enough pics to do even half the # of tables we will have. maybe we will do something penn state related since thats where we met or use our puppy...ill figure it out.

i wanna cry right now

EDITED: Ok i wasn't going to post these bc i really am not crazy about how i look in them, but i guess i wanna see what you ladies think and if you think theres one i can use for my STD.

I think your pics came out beautiful.

I have to say though this is TJs style so if you (after sitting on them) still really do not like them you might want to change photogs at Duet. If you end up really not liking them you might be unhappy with you wedding pics.

I was super critical when I received my epics from TJ but realized I was just plain CRAZY. Take some time to decide if you're being crazy or you really dont like them.

You are being way too critical on yourself, so stop. There are soo many in there that came out awesome!!!!! Love the locations that you used!!!!

you look great, we are always so critical of ourselves, but really you look great. I wouldnt just tell you that, im honest. I think the far away ones would tell be fine for table numbers. I love the ones under the awning of the building with the people all blurred!!

i dont think its tj's style i disliked. i love the idea behind all the pics..i just dont love the way i look. but like other girls said i guess i am just being hard on myself. I need to snap out of that

i truly appreciate everything you girls are saying...some of the comments seriously made me tear up a little

fh likes them more than i do...i mean theres a few that he think are really akward looking bc of our poses but other than that he likes them.

use #38 for the std! so many of them are gorgeous but i think 38 would be great for a std!!

I know I HATE myself in pictures-out of 10, i would MAYBE like 1, so i do feel you, but really, they came out great...

Here's my honest opinion - I really do love the pics, they came out awesome but I understand what your saying about using one for a STD. I feel like none of them would work for that since they aren't really close to your face. I think you both look really nice in them but all the pics are kind of far away.

These are beautiful pictures!!! I especially like #19 and a whole bunch more! They are great! Granted, I don't know you, but I think you look beautiful.

Do you only get 45 pictures for the engagement shoot? Why did I think it was more like 400?

I can understand that it is hard to look at photos of yourself but there are a lot of really nice pictures in there... I know it seems like 45 pictures isn't a lot but if you want to see a few more maybe tell them what is missing from the one you got and see if they'll give you another 20 or so pictures. We can all tell you how great the pictures are but you have to be the one who is happy with them!!! I like them though! I think there are definitely quite a few in there you could use!!!!

I think you look beautiful.... I think you can definately use one for the STD and I think you can even use them for your table numbers. The ones in the tunnel, on the bridge, and by the lake are my favorite.

I think that the photographs came out beautiful. The Central Park ones are by far my favorite, though I love the one in the subway where he's kissing you! I noticed that a lot of the photos are profiles, and at least speaking for myself, I happen to be overly-critical of my profile! It might just be unnatural for you to see yourself from that angle. You have so many GREAT shots in there where you look beautiful, and I think you need to concentrate on the shots you DID get, and not the ones you're not entirely happy with!

Also, speak with Duet. It's quite possible that either you'd like some of the photos that are not in your 45, or, maybe they can zoom-crop a shot that's zoomed out and bring you both in more. If they used a high mp camera, they should be able to do this w/o interfering with the quality of the photograph. You may discover that you love your expressions on a photo that right now you can't even see your expressions!
