i'm suppose to be graduating in may and i just get an email from the graduation audit people telling me that the individual study i'm doing in polish( 15 page paper in polish) is not going to satisfy my language requirment. ***...? It's a 300 level class, higher then the 202 class i was suppose to take but couldn't because of schedule conflict with another class. and all the advisors said it was goint to be fine.
Now i'm going to be running around school all day trying to getthis taken care of.

what school is this?
I was in a similar situation and the head of the dep't wrote me a letter just in case they would give me a prob with graduation, I'm surprised they would keep you from graduating for this

Try to go back to those advisors you spoke to and get something in WRITING!! ALWAYS get things in WRITING!!!

I went to hunter, and transferred now I go to Queens and they always allow you to graduate as long as you took a higher level and you have the minimum # of credits needed for the degree....They are both CUNY, if one school does it so should the other, mention this to them

Used too, i graduated in jan. OMG i wanted to strangle them, you know how u r supposed to take a woman's studies class, well i want to a couselor and he said that psych of human sexuality fulfills it. then wen i did an audit they started givin me probs , i had to waste 2 days running around to fix it. The good news is that it got fixed.. And I'm sure that ur independent study should fulfil the requirement because i went tto a couselor to get exempt from language, n they said that if i do the 30 pg paper in russian it should work. Good Luck!!

30 pages i'm so glad my was only 15. yea, i'm going to go tomorrow morning and try to take care of it, of course i have to take the morning off of work. I was so excited and counting down and they ruined it

thats *****! i remember when you first started it and them saying it would be okay, because you were worried about this good luck!!!! my advice is from personal expiernece , bother bother bother them even if you have to be there the wholeeee day!
aww man. it's not just your school. my FSIL has horror stories from her school too and she about to graduate in a few weeks. i went to 2 colleges and the old college gave me a hard time to transfer my credits. so i basically did an extra semester to make up lost credits, don't you know that a few weeks before graduation and 4 yrs later, they transferred my credits i hope you get this fixed ASAP and get to graduate on time
