i hate oprah

I saw this show too! She told how she gave up her new home, dream car, and career to move to France with him, also how one time she told him that she was opioniated and Lance was like 'you...oppiniated??', Basically she said she had just become his 'yes woman'.

Well obvioulsy sweetie you are just a weak women who got dumb struck by a famous guy and a big ring on your finger! I used to like her, but after seeing this, I totally changed my mind, she is really just a weak woman.

Yes there are many women out there who get married because of reasons which don't include love, but the whole show really seemed to be about bashing marriage. It was as if they were pushing the idea that all women are lulled into a false illusion from birth of what marriage is, sure some women are, but they acted as if it's a majority.

Then they talked to brides who were close to getting married but freaking out about the whole marriage thing. If you are that scared, GET OUT!!

Really bad show.

I respectfully disagree here. This was my second time seeing this particular Oprah show and I have to say that I believe it was a positive message. Plus, she even said that she knew she was going to get flamed because of her comment ... which I think is being taken out of context. Oprah isnt anti ALL marriages (that has been proven in the past) however she is against destructive unhealthy marriages which regretfully a lot of woman enter into.

Thanks for posting your opinion tho. I understand your feelings about the episode I just wanted to share my opinion as well.

See those comments didn't bother me because I interpreted it more to be about people who get caught up in the whirl-wind of wedding planning and the ring and all that than to really sit down and discuss all the important things with their fiance then when it comes out there are problems. I mean there are people that don't discuss whether or not they want to have kids or how many kids they want and that can cause so many problems.
