I HATE Today - Trying not to cry at my desk

I may be cancelling my wedding. We postponed from last year bc I got laid off and this year we were doing really good with payments then I got sick and we are back to broke. We are trying to decide if us getting pt jobs will help the situation but I cant seem to find a pt job. We have no one to borrow from my parents are gone and his are broke because of a family situation that occurred. FH wants to elope but I dont want to lose all of my vendor payments and we cant postpone again.

Just needed to vent thanks for reading.

Dani im so sorry... have you spoken to any vendors... maybe there is still time to get some money back... deposits are probably lost...

We both did the PT job thing and it helped a lot. We are paying for everything. And i literally just did the budget and checkbooks today and it looks like we will be right on target.

You guys will do it, just have faith

The summer is coming and the retail stores are going to be hiring their summer help soon. Maybe something in retail part time?

I'm so sorry. That stinks. But your wedding shouldn't put you two in to a big hole as you're starting your life together. Think about eloping or about having something at a restaurant or maybe a within-driving-distance 'destination wedding'. A few of my FH's family members have done the last (Hunter Mtn, the Poconos) and they all said what a wonderful time everyone had.

I'm having a restaurant wedding and the place is gorgeous! We're saving so much $ with flowers, music, etc. It can be done.

Don't worry. Things will all work out. You may just have to re-plan.

Maybe some of the vendors can move locations with you. If you have a flower contract, maybe they can scale back and do it somewhere more affordable. You're giving them plenty of time.

I know this response is pretty scattered but I think you catch my drift. With a little creativity, you can still have the wedding of your dreams!!!

Thanks everyone. I have put in apps at all the stores in my vicinity that are hiring and FH is going to look for something to do pt at night once he is done with school next week. The sad thing is that its the hall that is killing us bc we dont know how many yeses we are going to get to decide exactly how much it would cost. all of the vendors I am using are very reasonably priced. Tonight I am going to apply for a catering job too.

FH and I are sitting down this weekend to make a decision after he is done with finals.
