My invitation is worded this way, and my parents are paying for the whole reception:
Mr. & Mrs. Nicholas P___________ request the honour of your presence at the marriage of their daughter Dana Nicole to Timothy Paul son of Mr. & Mrs. Paul _____________
Hope that helps!
Ours is this exactly too!
this is ours too, since my parents are paying for like 90% of the wedding with the rest coming from me and FH they are the hosts of the wedding, but since my FMIL would lose her mind if her name wasnt mentioned we put 'son of' in there

Re: I have a dilemma Help please
Did the orginal invite not have either set of parents' names? FH's parents are actually paying for most of our wedding so here is how I am going to word ours:
Mr and Mrs Joseph Lopez with Mr and Mrs Nicholas Barraco invite you to the wedding of their children Laura and Thomas.

this is the wording we're using
FH and I are paying for like 80% of the wedding, my parents are paying for the rest. FH's parents are paying for the RD and paid for 1/2 of the eparty
