So as I've mentioned like one million times before everyone FH knows is from either Pittsburgh or DC. So I was making a list of women who would be invited to my shower so I can start getting my addresses together and I realized I had no idea who to put from his family... I don't even think his mother would make the trip. And the only women in his family who I have met are his mom and his cousin and daughter. They were the only ones I was going to add to the list... he has female friends I have met a few times but I feel weird sending them an invite since they're all in DC... should I just keep it with his mother and cousin??? Is it going to be weird to have a shower full of my friends and family and probably no one from his family?

I would send invites to his family out of state and if they come they come. Most likely the out of state folks will send a gift. Sending an invite to FH's female friend is up to you but if you feel funny about it don't do it. As for the shower being all of your family and friends that is okay too. Don't stress about it, they will not be offended.

my whole moms side of the family (like 20 women alone) live in tx, so theyre actually throwing me another shower down there
but im inviting fh's fam to my shower in ny, and theres women that live in ct, fl, tn, etc, that i know wont be coming

i would ask his mom. i havent met most of the women from fh;s side..and we;ve been together for 4 yrs lol.. but i aske dhis mom for a guest list.. and i invited all the women.
its tricky with u cuz they ar eout of towners. just run it by fmil and see what she says.
