FH and I decided not to do wedding gifts but I am starting to change my mind about it. I guess it will come down to how much extra money I have around the time of the wedding.
Anyway we registered for these $500 Henckels knives which I told him no one will buy bc they are just to much $$$! But I know he really really wants them. Why...I dunno because I do all the cutting and dicing! So anyway I think I want to buy them for him! Is this a weird wedding present? we will prob have them for a long time.....several years and I just know he is obsessed with them!

I think its a great idea. My FH would love it if I did that....he's dying for the knives on our registry.

You never know, somebody might actually buy them. We had Wusthoff knives on our reg. for $799 at Macy's and it was one of the first things to go I haven't had my shower yet so I don't know if anyone chipped in or whatever but it was definitely a surprise!

DH and i didn't exchange gifts. IMO, if we would have, i would have gotten him something that would have been just for him, not something we would both be using.

Yeah I hear u on that. I just know he wants the knives and ps - he is paying for most of this wedding so it would be nice of me to pay for something sorta 'big'
