I just found out yesterday from my priest that only two people can sign the marriage lic. How do i tell them this. I really feel bad because both my maid of honors been great help. I think one will feel bad if they are not signing the lic.

I'm sure both will be honored that they were chosen as both of your Maids of Honor... Maybe pick the one you've known the longest? or is one a family member?
Maybe ask for both to be present, even though both can't sign.
Good luck :)

I also had 2 and 2. We got lucky because my officiant said that we had to have Catholics sign the certificate- and only 1 and 1 were Catholic.
If worse comes to worse, and you really can't decide, flip a coin.
If it's just a matter of telling them, try to split it up so that maybe one is doing something else special, like holding your bouquet during the vows.

You don't have a choice. - Is one a family member ? Have you known one longer ? I'd choose that way. - HOPEFULLY they will be understanding, mature adults about the situation. - and not make you feel worse than you already do. - OR you can not make an issue of it at all until the last second.
My friend asked my 10 min before her ceremony to sign her ketubah....(did i spell that right)

Well, both are family members and i don't know how to tell them. Both of them have played a great role in my life.
This is going to be very hard

Re: i have an issue
At first I was going to have 2 MOH as well---but one was already a MOH to a friend of ours already so I was just going to have my other MOH sign the license and have the other one have other responsibilities, hold bouquet, etc.---but I dont know if that pertains to you, has one of them been a MOH to anyone other than you---if not, I wouldnt stress over it--if its a matter of picking and choosing who---maybe you can tell both of them--and maybe they will suggest to flip a coin or something......
Or does one of them have a sister -- that they will probably be a MOH to them in the future?? If so--that can make your decision too.....

Re: i have an issue
If you cant decide ...choose from a hat. That way they will both have an equal chance and noone can get hurt. Sounds stupid but if there is no other way to choose......

to be honest i don't think they'll be offended if you choose one over the other. if they are that's pretty petty.

I have this issue as well. I told them to decide among themselves who will do it.

Re: i have an issue
Just let the two girls do it. I don't think the fun or honor of being a MOH has anything to do with signing the license.
