I have been M*I*A...but for good reason....
Yesterday, bad news hit my department....
They laid off 3 people, one who had been with our company for 18 years. Not only did they lay them off, but now they are hiring two other individuals. It appears that supposedly none of the 3 who were fired could do this new line of work they are looking for, meanwhile two of them already has experience in that area, but since our boss is new and wants to bring in all her friends to work with her.....it is inevitable.
So a big group of us are heading out to take them out to lunch.....
I am sooo bummed out coz these new bosses just cut people without asking them what their skill sets are. And they also talked about the area I work in. That a new system is being implemented and they won't know who will be asked to work on it. Meaning I may be out of a job soon......not that being out of a job worries me coz I will work at anything, but it just shows that it is not what you know but who you know that gets you places....
