I have the ugliest legs.... Please help!!!

Now - before you think I'm going to go off on another body issue rant, heres the thing...

I am perpetually razor burned... ALWAYS... I am whiter than white, and no matter what I do, I am a razorry bumpy mess after I shave....

I read that rubbing a mixture of olive oil and epsom salt on your legs before you shave works - I have been doing this and its better - really, I am happy with the results, but still, it just means I have 273 bumps instead of 325...

And its been going on for so long, I have these scars from shaving... Why can't I just have nice smooth legs like all the other ladies out there???

I don't want to look at bumps and burns when slipping on my garter... I dont want to see icky bumps on my honeymoon or in pics when I wear shorts - its bad enough I am so pale....

I am not sure if waxing will do it either because I hear you can get wicked bumps and all sorts of stuff from that as well - I dont want to take the chance and wind up even worse.... I don't have the money to spend on it either

what should I do?

I have tried every shaving cream, every razor, every type of moisturizer, exfolianst, lotion, etc - I do use something called code blue brave soldier gel on my legs after shaving, and it works wonders...

Help!!!!

i was going to suggest waxing, until i read your thoughts on it. i have the same problems. only thing i can recommend is to change your blade frequently, this was you are not having to rub the razor repeatedly over your skin.

I'd say try Tend Skin. Many people swear by it. I bought it today to try to use since I'm going to brave my first bikini wax soon.

maybe you're allergic to the shaving gel you're using

What about that Veet stuff that is like shaving but w/o a razor? I haven't used it but maybe its worth a shot since it is hair removal w/o a razor.

Sorry to pop in here but I think I have a solution for you. Go Mediterranean!

have you tried a hair depilitory (sp?) ??? They do not smell great but they remove hair without any irritation from a razor blade and I think some formulas moisturize.

Did you try going to the dermatologist???

They can tell you if you are having some sort of allergic reaction or not and probably give you a lotion or cream to help.

I had that problem with bikini line shaving. Then my MD suggested shaving at night with a brand new blade and immediately putting on cortisone cream. It really worked well. He did say not to rub in the cream just smooth it on because rubbing causes irritation. At night was to reduce friction which adds to the redness and bumps.

Now that I am over LIWEDDINGS comment.. (BAD!!!!)

I always redness for 3 days when I used to wax my legs.

I switched to threading (instead of wax) for the face and I tell them not to put anything on it afterwards. No cream...

I put 'cortisone' to reduce any infection. It works great!

I've read that melting an aspirin in hot water and then rubbing it on your legs can help with aftershave. That's pretty cheap and easy too.

also, not to state the obvious, but you're shaving in hot water after your legs have been wet for a while, right? like, in the shower, towards the end of your shower?

most people know to do that, but just checking.

I have the same problem than lipgloss. It only works when I stay for over 20 minutes in a hot bath.
