I have to go to the skin doctor soon! **UPDATED TONIGHT!!
So the last few months my skin has been very bad, i have tried many over the counter products and nothing is working at all.
So i called my dermatologist that i have used since i was like 13. and they got me a spot today. I have to get Needles in my pimples, it hurts or stings rather quite a bit, but hopefully by sunday nite my skin should look alot better.
I think i am also going to ask for oral antibiotics to keep my skin from flaring up.
I am 26 why is this happening to me!!!!!?????
Update: Holy cow, you girls are freaking awesome!!! All these repsonses!!! Makes me feel like i am not alone. I went my doctor today, she is soo nice, and gave me oral antibiotics, its new and its called Solodyn wich has minocycine in it. Its once a day and they are 90 milligrams. She also gave me a perscription for Benzaclin topical cream. and i got a cleanser and pads from her office. I also got all the BIG ONES injected! I am going to try the new antibiotics and if they work i will continue, if not i can go on the ones i used to take and that was called duracef. HTH anyone else who is suffering like me

Nicole, I went on Accutane in June - it is a miracle drug!!!! I have dry lips and very dry skin (like on my arms) but my face is so clear now! In fact, a girl on Saturday told me my skin was GORGEOUS! I wish I had before/after pics to show you. I didn't have cystic acne but little under-the-skin pimples and they're all gone!!!!! Talk to your derm about Accutane!!! FM me if you want to talk about acne meds - my sis is on some right now.
ETA: I'm 27, so you're not alone!

I'm sorry Nicole! My FH battled acne a lot when he was younger and he swears by Neutrogena's Clear Pore scrub:
my sister started using proactiv and she really likes it.

I get the shots every other week & use 2 topical rxs... Yet til I was 21 I had clear skin always...
This ***** I know, I feel your pain , & I don't think the cortozone shots hurt much less than waxing

I hated every minute of accutane....i had cystic acne and it was terrible...i still think proactive is probably your best bet...unless its cysts...then go on accutane but u can't drink and you get super dry...like permanently...i'm still not right...its really scary too...i'm still worried my kids are gonna come out with a foot on their heads...
Antibiotics are bad too because of the yeast infections...try clean and clear deep pore cleanser...that's my fave besides proactive
AND MAKE SURE U DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!!

same thing with me as a teenager never had a problem but now i do. I went to a dermatologist they gave me two things that BURNED my face it was bad. I decided to try proactiv and it worked great, i was very happy with the results. Ooo i also bought this thing from sephora, you put it on when you get a blemish and in the morning its gone, sooo good. I'll tell you the name later on when i get home.

yeah i was about to ask about that. I know you can't get pregnant while on that. At first I wasn't sure if that was the one i was thinking about but i guess it is.

I used to get soooooooooo sick after I drank...I'm still not fully recovered...my side would hurt the next day and everything...plus it made me a little crazy....i dunno...i'm glad its over. I still get acne but i'm never going back on it...its just regular stuff now...I'll deal

I was blessed with typical oily Italian skin!!! Hopefully that means I won't get wrinkles early on. But while were on the subject....I don't really get large visible pimples BUT I do have large pores and I continuosly get black heads. Does anyone know what I can do for that?

FH has that on his nose and he gets annoyed cuz i always try and squeeze them so it doenst look yucky (i know gross but hes a guy and doesnt do it unless i say someting) im getting him proactive. that should help close up the pores. and its very affordable

I drink on the meds I'm on, just topical tho, my derm makes them in his office w/ products better for the skin than the RX

Clean and Clear deep continuous control deep pore cleanser is amazing, but honestly the best really is proactive...that's my fav so far. My skin gets used to it after a while so I have to alternate...I feel ya on that ginzatz skin though...its like elephant skin!

i know i love it. Most people i know it worked for them, only like 2 people i heard that it didn't work. At first it does try out your skin, but i just kept moisturizing with cetaphil all day. After the 3 months i stopped using it and i was fine. I used it again recently and my skin hardly got dry this time. Also it gets rid of ALL your blackheads, i have so many on my nose and it disappears quickly. It also makes your skin look so nice too

i had really bad skin when i was a teen but i started using clearasil ultra daily face wash , it is a miracle in a bottle i love it and use it twice a day , i now because of stress have one pimple in my face, but from working out i get a few on my back it ***** im 29 when does it end
