I came to a tough decision this weekend: I have to give up LIW for a while.
I live with my FH, and we are both working full time and going to school at night, and we only see each other for about 2 hours a day. During that time, I'm either doing homework or schoolwork (I'm a teacher) because I spend so much of my free time during the day on LIW. If only I'd grade papers during my lunch hour, or spend 2 hours straight writing a grad school paper (instead of 4 hours in front of the computer, distracted by LIW half the time), this wouldn't be a problem. We joke about this site being an 'addiction' but it is - I literally can't stop browsing around on here and getting to work when I need to. FH and I hardly ever talk anymore, and because of our new schedules and workload, we're both stressed and crabby enough as it is. I thought being on LIW would be a good way to diffuse some of that stress, but I think it's just adding to it. My wedding is over a year away - the planning can wait another month or two.
So I'm saying bye for now. Grad school is over the last week in May; hopefully I'll have tons of extra time by then and will be back on LIW full force. I think it would be nice to keep in touch via e-mail actually (I'll need SOME girl talk!) so if anyone wants to FM me, I'd love that.

Yep sometimes a much needed break is needed when other things come into play. I will be not going on this and next weekend in order to push out my last projects and web page before school ends.

Dava, we will miss you! i think you made a good decision though! i have had similar problems with LIW and not spending time with my FH....that is why i am not on as much anymore. they FH's need some attention too! i know if the situation was reversed i would not be happy, so although i love my LIW time....my time with FH should be a priority. good luck with your work and i hope to stay in touch via FM's!!

i completely understand - i stopped going on when FH is with me. . . now that he is in his busy season i only see him for one hour every night - and i was posting away for the whole hour!! sometimes i would even forget he was there and i would talk out loud to myself! (yes, i do that)

Dava I completely understand. I work full time and go to school taking 4 classes and an independent study (kinda like an internship) so I am soo stressed...and the only time i get with Fh is on the phone so I feel bad lately I have been chatting on here and my phone conversations consist of 'huh uh...oh yeah your right, yup ok, love you too' haha cause i am too busy posting on here...
and not to mention i have a 20 page paper draft due wed and 2 papers due next week and then to finish my final 20 page paper and have 3 written finals all within the next 3 weeks so i hardly dedicate time to homework and talking to FH after he gets out of work (which is around 10pm our time cause he is in San Diego and 3 hours behind us) so ughh my nights are crazy and i graduate this May so I know I need to concentrate more....and LIW is getting in theway- although I love it I def understand you and most likely will not be on as much either these next 3 weeks!
