I found a dress orginally for $280, but I am able to order it from Phyllis at Bridal Elegance for 197.00. Do you think this is a lot of money???
Am I being unreasonable asking them to spend this much on a dress.

i think that sounds fair. mine were about $200 and that is approximately what i have paid for bm dresses i have worn.

Mine were a little over $200 + alterations and shoes, I had originally picked out another dress for less, but my girls LOVED this dress and no one complained, I also did not ask for them to get hair/makeup done, and I paid for their jewelry and manicures.

You could call around to different salons and see what their price would be for the same dress. I ordered my BM dresses from Burtons and they were $130 I think but in every other salon they were about $30-$40 more. I had to spend $200 on a dress and I was a little upset but I also had to spend a lot of money for traveling, hotels, etc. also- so it all depends on their situation. Good luck.
