I just found something else to worry about! What are you doing?
Original post by radiostar
I'm sitting here thinking about the little things....like, the cake table, the guestbook table, the placecard table, the little menu cards on the guest tables, etc . . .After seeing so many incredible pictures on the net, I-OH-SO-WANT the little things to be pretty too!
For those of you who are already married, how did you make sure that these things were set up properly? Did your hall help? Did you have a relative/friend help out? Did you have an opportunity to stop by prior to you getting ready?
For the brides to be, do you have a plan?
I amaze myself. I find new stuff to worry about everyday.

unless you want somethign out of the ordinary...or placement matters (you want the favor on the left side- or on a seperate table) I think you could leave it to the hall
my hall did a great job

We got their early enough and gave some thing s once over (like placecards and guest book) but those things I wasn't too concerned with.
I had given a good friend the floor plan to check the reception room for me - as far as setup and place settings and # of favors. She would up being late (my shuttle bus issue) but DH and I poked our head in and notice the setup was wrong - slightly. DH started moving the table himself but the maitre d saw it and took care of it!!

yes and no.... ask the place and make sure. Sometimes if it invovles alot of moving or heavy lifting they might if the staff is required to be there alot longer.
