I just got engaged! Picture of my Ascher ring!

HI everyone,

I am brand new to this. Just got engaged on July 6, 2007. I am thrilled and wanted to share pics of my ring. I just love it! Its an ascher/ emerald depending on how you look at it and it is just right for me. It has this simple micro pave around it and on part of the band. Had to share. The pic dosen't do it justice it really sparkles

I only just started looking at venues. So far its rather frustrating. My hubby to be is from New Zealand, so we can't count on many people coming from there. We are talking 40-55 people max at my wedding. I hate being limited to the middle of the week or only restaurants. but I guess I will just have to keep looking. Like everyone, we are on a tight budget. no more than 75 per person.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

aweeee you guys are so nice! thank you everone for being so supportive. I see my toughest things will be the reception hall or restaurant and finding wedding dress!

San Souci in Sea Cliff does small weddings and the East Wind Country Gardens. You can even enter that contest going on to get it for free!

Congrats and welcome! our ring is absolutely beautiful I'm only having about 50 guests. We are booked at Leonard's of Great Neck for the sunday evening of Memorial Day weekend. We got a great price! I also looked at Westbury Manor....I loved it but Leonard's worked out better for us.

this is wonderful, keep those suggestions coming. Again I will only have about 50 people. I am looking into Jediahdah Hawkins Inn next. Web site looks nice, lets hope they have a room that can fit a dance floor and 50 people. And not too pricey! I am not 100% on Westbury Manor, there were like 3 afairs going on their today which bothered me and they were really trying to get me to sign on the spot but I would not.

Check out 3 Village Inn and ask about a wedding dinner instead of a wedding reception. I used to work there and its absolutely beautiful and the food and service is amazing. A wedding dinner is less expensive than a reception, you don't have to guarantee that many people, and you can have any date and time frame. You can even have the ballroom. It's basically a simpler menu and without as many of the bells and whistles. You can do everything almost the same as a reception but pay a lot less.

Beautiful ring! Check out the Irish Coffee Pub too. I think they accommodate small weddings also. I've seen pics..they have a ballroom w/ a dancefloor.

Just a suggestion - try the Stewart Manor Country Club in Garden City - they may be able to accommodate your number! Just talk to James - if can't help, he might be able to recommend places.
