I just got home from the doctors...

I just got home from the doctors...

Totally off topic, but I'm sitting home alone and feeling a little nervous.. needing to chat a little...

So Saturday, I noticed that I couldn't feel my pinky toe. By Sunday I couldn't feel two more... and then yesterday morning when I woke up, I couldn't feel another one. So I thought it was no big deal, but my mother made me go to the drs since it hadn't gone away and it kept spreading.
So I went yesterday and now it's opened a whole can of worms. He ruled out it being a pinched nerve and they did xrays and all that, no break. Great... But he made me come back this morning to have tons of blood drawn and he's hoping that something in my results will lead him somewhere with it. I'm a little nervous, and wondering if it's the beginning of diabetes, which runs in my family. Not that it would be a huge deal if it was, but I start student teaching next week and this couldn't have come at a worse time. And this concludes Erin's pity party.. sorry to vent

i hope everything goes well. and i hope it is not diabetes - but if it is - be greatful that you caught it now - and not that you lived another 5 -10 years before you discovered it.

none of this is fun - but think positive and know that there are millions who LIVE with that disease - not suffer from it.

OMG Erin, I can't believe this! When did this all start to happen??? I just saw you a week ago & you didn't say anything...I am sure they will find the cause of it! I am hoping it is not diabetes! I am here for you...You need to talk, you know where I live!!

first girl, breathe. Don't worry until you have something to worry about.

lol.. Luckily, I'm not a sefl diagnoser like the rest of the hypocondriacs (sp?!) in my family. I'm always the last to go to the drs, cause I have no health insurance and try to just 'will' my illnesses away. But this thing just won't go, so obviously I went. I'm sure all will work out, I'm staying positive and it helps to have such wonderful people to send me their well wishes! Thanks so much ladies.. you are the best.. but you already know that!

Awww... we are here to listen and give support, not give pitty parties! And right now, you need some support, happy thoughts, and hugs . I'm sure everything will turn out ok but it's a good thing you got it looked at it now before it even spreads further. Hope you feel better and let us know what the doctor says.
