I just got home from the doctors...

Totally off topic, but I'm sitting home alone and feeling a little nervous.. needing to chat a little...

So Saturday, I noticed that I couldn't feel my pinky toe. By Sunday I couldn't feel two more... and then yesterday morning when I woke up, I couldn't feel another one. So I thought it was no big deal, but my mother made me go to the drs since it hadn't gone away and it kept spreading.
So I went yesterday and now it's opened a whole can of worms. He ruled out it being a pinched nerve and they did xrays and all that, no break. Great... But he made me come back this morning to have tons of blood drawn and he's hoping that something in my results will lead him somewhere with it. I'm a little nervous, and wondering if it's the beginning of diabetes, which runs in my family. Not that it would be a huge deal if it was, but I start student teaching next week and this couldn't have come at a worse time. And this concludes Erin's pity party.. sorry to vent

I know how scary it is to think that you might be sick. A year and a half ago I thought I had diabetes because the doctor found sugar in my urine. It turned out to be nothing, so you shouldn't worry until you get the results in. Good luck, and let us know when you find out.

Just relax and try to keep your mind off it until you get more feedback from the doctor.

I haven't heard anything yet, but he did say he should know by this evening... hopefully I will get a call today, cause I just want to know something! I'm not a very patient 'patient'.... But I'm behaving...

If you happen to be taking birth control pills, there is a small chance you can form a blood clot which might be causing this problem. If you are, make sure the doctor considers this.

Stay Positive .....It is not easy to wait patiently! A few months ago, my cardiologist told me that my FH and I should get genetic counseling...(i have an electrical problem in my heart that is genetic).. yea..well...that put a damper on my happy planning. But all is well...

Keep us updated
