I am so confused. Should I send them a small TY now and then after the wedding the official TY?

If you are doing photo thank yous then you can send one then also thanking them for coming. If the TYs are the same this one is enough. Mention how you are looking forwrd to seing them at event.

i didnt realize they were coming to the wedding. TOTAL DUH. whew. ok so i still say send one now, then i agree, send the pic one later to thank them for coming. ' jenn

I disagree. IMO it is a wedding gift and it should be sent a thank you with all the other wedding gifts. I got a couple and i am sending them the thank yous that i am sending my guests

I sent thank you's right away. Make sure to keep a list of the thank you's you've sent already, so you won't be confused after the wedding.

I would send a thank you now just a plain thank you card and then send another with your pic. I think its rude if you wait to thank someone for something nice they did for you. JMO
