I just got some devestating news ...

I just got a call from FH ... he was fired this morning. We have 5 weeks until our wedding OMG!!! He'll be able to collect unemloyment, but I don't know how we'll manage on that ... and we were counting on salary plus his BONUS to help pay for the rest of the hall.

Send some good thoughts , girls ... We need Them!

Oh Christine, I feel really bad to hear this. I hope something comes around soon for your FI. Maybe he can look in to some P/t or consulting work. Hope everything works out. All the best

Im sooo sorry to hear this. Im sure it will all work out though. Did they at least give him a severance or anything that will help.

Thanks, sham ... he's in finance worked at a MAJOR firm... has been there since he grad. college. The bummer of it all is that he got caught in the middle of a fallout from an office scam. Long story, very dramatic... involved the firing of a major exective ... well, the comp. put an audit in place & checked all employee's expense acct's and he got flagged! It's totally unbelieveable. I'm not sure if I'll be able to hold up, but I don't want to be something he has to worry about either !

I'm shaking as I'm writing ... totally in shock.

Sorry to hear that. I can't beleive a company can have the B**LS to fire a guy right before his wedding!!! that's just not right!! I wish you luck!!

Thank you all sooo much! Fh works in the finance division of an insurance company. He does work with estate planning ... really complicated stuff... sometimes I'm not sure what he's talking about.

I know you guys are right, that this may lead to better things in the long run ... I'm sure ... he was underpaid to begin with, but dreams & plans are now dashed! He thought he was making AVP next month!

It S**** that all of our $$$ is now due, as well. The timing really hurts

I am so sorry to hear about that your FH lost his job. Hang in there - I agree with Curly things do happen for a reason - there must be a great job waiting out there for him!

Im so sorry to hear this so close to your wedding....keep in mind that things happen for a reason -- this could mean bigger and better things for him in the future

Christine - like I said in my FM, you are in my prayers and will be till Vinnie gets another job! I will start asking around.... Just try to stay calm. I know you're in shock - but try to breathe deep and believe what everyone here is saying. There must be a reason and you both will be better off - BELIEVE IT!
