I just got some devestating news ...

To everyone who sent their words of support and good wishes... especially you, Ron! It was really a rough weekend. Telling our parents ... everyone was very upset. I wanted to cancel my bachelorette party on Sat. but didn't. Long story ... different post ... go check it out and see what happened!

We sat down and really looked at our finances. Luckily, we've been saving pretty well through the year and will not be impacted much by this. He will receive some $$ from the company & unemployment. I said I was hoping that something cash would come through.

Anyway, he and his boss are already working on getting him placed somewhere else. His group is very tight & has several outside partnerships b/c of the 'product' he finances ... life ins. is very conf . The long & the short of it is that he thinks he'll have somethng in place by the new year.

The good part is that he's home now and can run any errands that needs running for the wedding!

Thanks again, I'll keep you posted ... but I feel much better today ... the sun even just peeked out for the 1st time!!!

Take it from someone who got laid off a week after signing the contract on a reception hall- it was all for the best. I got a better job and had 7 wonderful weeks off to stay home and play with my kitten.
It also helped me to learn that work is only work, and that I don't need to do sooo much for others. I promise you in a few months you will be glad this happened.

I can relate. I got caught in the middle of office politics. I was on the trading floor and 2 admins were jealous of how involved I was and basically starting kissing butt to senior management and made me look bad on everything (they even stole my timesheet then lied about it and it 'mysteriously' showed up and again they lied about it) till it got to a point where they had senior management snowed about me and i was eventually fired for a stupid reason and the other 2 admins were hiding in someone elses office who happens to have a huge window overlooking everyone else and i saw them laughing and smiling.

this happened literally a week after i got engaged.
i can understand with the wedding and the job.

just stay positive. enjoy your wedding day and just be supportive to him.
