I just got some devestating news ...

I just got a call from FH ... he was fired this morning. We have 5 weeks until our wedding OMG!!! He'll be able to collect unemloyment, but I don't know how we'll manage on that ... and we were counting on salary plus his BONUS to help pay for the rest of the hall.

Send some good thoughts , girls ... We need Them!

I'm so sorry for the both of you. I am a true believer in everything happens for a reason. I know it looks bad now, but it just means there is something better out there for him that he is meant to do. I know it couldn't happen at a worse time, but just know that we are all here for you!

I can only express this one way....IT STINKS!!! I'm so sorry this is happening to you. You need to hang in there for your FH sake and be supportive b/c he's probably not expressing how much stress this is having upon him...especially since you were counting on his salary. Things will fall into place!

I know its rough ... my fh was laid off 2 weeks ago - and we're getting married at the Hamlet too.
I know it will all work out in the end. Stay positive.

OMG! I'm terribly sorry to hear about this!
Sometimes where God closes a door, he opens a window. You question the timing at first, like 5 weeks before your wedding!!! There are so many of us on here, maybe someone can take his resume?
I know I'd be shaking too, but stay strong and be confident knowing it'll all work out. You might not know how it's going to work out yet, but it will.

if this had happened two months ago, b/f I found this board, all of you terrific girls ... kindred spirits, you might say, I'd probably be curled up in bed right now, crying. You've helped me feel better today ...

Thank you again to you all for your words of inspiration and support ... I will be thinking of you and trying to be positive this weekend. My b'party is tomorrow and I will need those positive vibes!!!

Hang in there. My Fiance was fired not once, but twice. It was really hard and he JUST got another job. He worked a gazillion part time jobs to make up for the difference. My suggestions is that he should call every financial services firm and speak with them. The market isve ry tight so he needs to differentiate himself- but he will do just fine.
