Not to make you nervous, but when I went to cancel my first dress, they told me that they would take me to small claims court for the rest if I didn't pay it. Now I didn't really believe that, but I didn't want to chance it. I struck a deal with them to pay them the cost of the dress for them that they paid the manufacturer. It wound up being only an extra $100 over my deposit. Try to get out of it first, but if that doesn't work... negotiate!

Oh crap....good luck! I hope you dont end up oweing them a bunch of money. I would try the 'wedding is off' lie if I were you.

I was previously engaged and when we called the wedding off I called the place where I got my dress. I was told that If I did not pay the rest of the dress or pick it up by the time of wedding date they would take me to court. Good Luck!
