i just realized.. i'll never get 'the call'

because i bought a sample...
i guess they'll call when its done being altered and stuff added, but i really wanted the 'its in' call!

That's something to be glad about. You NEVER have to wait for your dress. You can visit it right now if you'd like to! You've already tried on the dress that you will walk down the aisle in. I still haven't.

But just think, in place of the call you saved $$$$$!!!

I'll take that any day!

OMG no way that is horrible!!

Don't worry, i don't get the call either.

I already know I'm having my first fitting in the middle of May. I made my appt when I put the deposit on the dress since the make it according to my wedding date.

Ita, at least you can visit it. The sample was sent back to spain so from now until May I have to go by memory and the few pics I do have.

what did you do?? what place was it? that happened to two of my mothers customers daughters (two diff families, but same store)

awww

my dress came in WAY early, so when i got the call isntead of being all 'yay' I was like 'you're kidding right? What am I going to do witht he dress now?!'

It was Bridal Couture of Manhasset. It was incredibly upsetting when the store closed, as there was no advanced warning! But, it all worked out in the end. The designer (Matthew Christopher) sent the dress to me directly. I wound up hiring him to be the stylist for the wedding and he took both moms shopping for their dresses, oversaw my alterations and was there for the wedding to help with the dresses, etc. He came up with some ideas I never would have thought of and was so much fun to have around throughout the planning process.
