So tonight I was showing my mom the invite samples and I told her that Fh wants his parents name on them. She then says in a snappy voice then I will give his father back the $2,000 that they gave us and we can have only our names on it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel awful now!!!!!!!!!

We spent so much time on the wording.

We are paying for about 95% of everything ourselves. His parents are divorced, his dad remarried and we are both very close to his wife. They are throwing the RD and his mom threw e-party. Their names were or will be on those invotes as hosts.

My parents are paying for our photo/video. So being they contributed to something that couldn't as easily be recognized we decided to use:

Bride
Along with her parents,
Mr. & Mrs. X

&

Groom
Son of Ms. Y
and Mr. & Mrs. Z

request.......

Lots of playing arouns, but I think we got it finally.

All the parents were more then happy with the result. So far at least....

well how are you wording it, maybe you can put mr. and mrs. (your parents) request your presence at the marriage of their daugther (your name) and (his name), son of..............something like that, I have seen it done like that, just to mention the grooms parents, but your parents are throwing the party, obv my wording is a bit off!
