I know I am such a coppy cat...

Original post by curly2003

...but I just finished a trial for Sonicstef's (and many other's) placecard candles and it was sooooooooooooooooo time consuming. I don't think I'm gonna make them. Does anyone have a template I could use that is in MS Word and not MS Publisher? And I went to Michael's and they sell the Vellum by THE SHEET!!!! there must be a better way to do this Thanks!!

Those votives are on sale at Micheal's right now !!!!!

2 for $1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So 100 votives would be $50 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just bought 2 so I can sample. If it turns out nice, I'll buy like 150 !!!!

O.K thanks fo all the suggestions!!! ( I have all the tea lights, votives and vellum but no template). I'm sitting here playing with the template again and I can't get them the same size. I am computer dumb!!! I don't want the strips to be all differnet sizes and tacky. How do you 'size' each strip in Word. This is what I have so far???

I tried to attach the Word document and it doesn't let me
This bites!!!

The labels are clear Laser Jet address labels. If you put them on a white votive you will never even see the label. I wish I had one here mine are at my mom's house in Florida I will ask her for a pic.

Thanks Nancy I have clear labels at home I can do a test with a votive holder I bought.

Karina why don't you try doing a test this way?

Re: I know I am such a coppy cat...

I didn't want to use clear labels. I wanted the frosty look of the vellum but i can't figure it out so I might have to do labels

Re: I know I am such a coppy cat...

I bought votive holders at Michaels 3 for 99 cents a few months ago. Sometimes they are on sale 2 for a dollar, but I would wait until they are three for a dollar if you have the time. I bought something like seven dozen for around $30.

Does the vellum stick by itself, or do you use adhesive?

Re: I know I am such a coppy cat...

Wanda- Take a regular pic and mail it to me. I will pay. (See how desperate I am to find a way to make these darn things ). THANKS!!!!!

Sunny- If you use the vellum use double sided tape.

Re: I know I am such a coppy cat...

I'm also doing vellum either w/double sided tape or some kind of tape glue thingy.
But I'm so lazy, I had this whole weekend, and I didnt do my sample
I am also holding out for the 3 for $1 sale at Michaels, I still have time
