I know this has been done before but.....

what made everyone pick their wedding date?sentimental reasons, price? when we were in sept we had picked that because we wanted that time of yr, then when we changed we went to august because of school and the 20th that was the only sat night left.

It's the only Sunday in all of 2005 that worked for us.

FH has summer school all summer, and then I'll be starting teaching (hopefully) on or about the 16th of August... (for orientation) SO - the 7th it was!

Though, if you want senitmental, or weird (because I realized this), our dating anniversary (8/14) is one month before my birthday, and our wedding anniversary (8/7) will be one month before FH's birthday.

We met in September 8 years ago and always agreed that would be the month we would get married. We met on the 3rd but since it falls on Labor Day weekend we passed on that...weren't personally comfortable with the 11th (cousin is a firefighter and didn't want any conflict since it's important to have him there) and so the 18th was the next available date. I like that the day is divisible by the month (18/9 = 2 of us!)

I knew we would wind up getting married in February... only b/c to afford this wedding it would have to be offseason. Plus we met in Feb. and got engaged in Feb. so its a good month for us

The 20th actually the banquet manager picked... we didnt even realize that most people have off on presidents day ( the 21st) and that we would be getting a sunday price but most our guest would have off the next day. That was all we needed to hear

I wanted a Sat wedding, FH wanted a Fri wedding and we both wanted May. We feel in love with Westbury Manor and the only Fri they had was May 13. It was Fri the 13th so we were unsure then they threw in some freebies and we said, ok!

It was the first Sat in the summer that my hall was open. They are on a campus that shuts down from the middle of June until the middle of July.

it is a long weekend so it will be easier for my OOT family and friends to come but also it is close to the date that we had our civil ceremony (August 29th)

Since FI is a teacher and we didn't want to do it in the summer, we were trying to find dates where he would have some time off. We wanted 4/23 (i think) initially since it is passover week, but hall wasn't avail, so we went for 11/19 since he will have 2 days off for Thanksgiving anyway.

I ALWAYS wanted to get married on May 13th----on a friday!!!!!!!! Friday the 13th has always brought me great luck.....but we couldnt because Im a teacher....so july it is!
