I KNOW this has been done before but....

about how much should your day of makeup cost?

I called for a trial and the woman told me day of is $250. Is that absurd? It sounds STEEP to me!!

Anyone have prices? Feel free to FM me!

I dont think there is a price that one SHOULD pay...its what youre comfortable with and if youre not comfortable with $250 then dont do it, doesn't matter if others are spending that...Theres alot of other make up artists you can find that you will love in the price range you want.

Since you are in queens, have you tried oksana

My hairdresser is very affordable and I've been using her for events fro 10 years, I know she will be great. But in my mind, I can't see why anyone would charge more than $75 for makeup ... am I wrong??? (Am I completely naive?? I think for my sister's wedding I paid the makeup lady at my salon $40 ... )

honestly the average price of make up ive seen alot of vendors charge is about $125

you can ask the girls for her exact prices, i know its about $100-something for make up and bm's i think are $75, i can be wrong...she has a minimum of 3 though. Hair she works with Jen the hair genie and i think thats another $100-something

heck no i wouldn`t pay that much for makeup!!! i`m sorry i think that is crazy!!!! i don`t know what is a good price because i haven`t called around for this yet but i know a friend of mine`s sister used a person that comes to your house (or location) and does hair for 50 and make up for 50

I've seen a range of $75-$150 for makeup and about the same for hair. I'm looking to do this as inexpensively as possible.

If anyone has someone for less please FM me!!!!

I paid 60 for my trial, and also 60 for the day of the wedding (at a salon) for airbrush makeup.

250 sounds like a LOT to me for just day-of makeup. That's actually the combined amount I paid for my hair trial, makeup trial, day-of hair, and day-of makeup all together!

But I don't know anything about what the average prices actually are. I assume it's higher since she is coming to you that day.

for me:
Day of make-up $125
Day of hair $ 125

I booked with Khouloud's Beauty. Trials $50 for each.
