Granted I've never seen you in person, but I have seen several pictures of you, and I've seen your high school yearbook photo , and there is no way you could look ridiculous...unless of course, you wear clown makeup.
Remember that your makeup has to last through out the day, and show up in pictures throughout the day. At first (I'll admit) it takes getting used to, especially if you're not used to wearing much makeup...but by the end of the day, you'll be grateful you went for the professional makeup.

I felt retarded too! On the way home I so wanted 7-11 coffee but would NOT go in there, I thought eveyone would look at me like I was crazy with all the make-up on..it does take some getting used to.

I agree the blush is not blended as well as it could be, and use the same color lipstick shade but more matte color....

I haven't seen the pictures, but I think that if you feel that uncomfortable in the makeup, then something has to change. While I definitely agree that wedding makeup needs to be different from everyday, I don't think you should let makeup artists or other people talk you into something you dislike so much. There are ways to have lasting makeup that will brighten you up for pictures, without it looking like 'standard' bridal makeup. IMO many of the popular makeup artists just all do the same thing for every bride, without much concern for what the bride is saying she wants (i.e., a more natural look). I say keep looking!! Find someone who'll do something you're more comfortable with, instead of just telling you, 'This is what wedding makeup looks like.'

Rachel, i think you look lovely! It's not too much at all.

ETS: I don't wear a lot of makeup either, and no matter how good it looks, it takes me time to get used to seeing my face that way.
