I look ridiculous.

I'm sitting here looking at pictures of myself from my make-up trial, and although I loved what she did, I HATE myself in all that make-up. I look absolutely ridiculous. I don't know what to do for my wedding, now I'm going to look so gross

Who did you go to? I went to Jillian tonight and she was really good - very helpful and really nice. Maybe try another vendor? Plus you have plenty of time - dont worry you will find one!

Stop. I'm sure you'll look beautiful. If your already booked with this person... tell them your unhappy with the way the trial came out, and book another one showing her what you want.

It's not even that. I hate how I look in make-up. I normally only wear eye make-up, and not even that much. I just hate the look of my face. I look like a cartoon, and it's not the vendor, it's just make-up in general. I don't know. I just keep picturing my gross looking face on my wedding day. I don't know what to do.

Oohhh. I am sure you look fine. I feel the same way when I see myself in pics when I have make-up on. I never wear make-up, except for special occassions, and that's not THAT often! I think the next time I will wear make up is my engagement party, then my wedding!

What exactly is it that makes you feel this way? Maybe you can do a more natural look. I am sure you will look beautiful no matter what.

I am the same way as you- I rarely wear any makeup at all.. maybe mascara when we go out. I would try a more natural look rather than loading the makeup on. Feel better!!!

Oh noooo - I thought I looked like a DRAG QUEEN when I looked at myself in the mirror - . because I dont wear much either. But it grew on me and I really like it now. You just have to get used to it - or tel her go lighter

If you do not normally wear too much makeup, it will take time for you to get used to. But you have a good amount of time to get used to it.. whether or not you use the person who did the trial you are referring to. I'd say, give it a little time before you make a real decision. if you still don't like it, go elsewhere. I have to highly recommend anyone who works at a Bobbi Brown counter. They are trained in Bobbi's techique, which is really natural, but appropriate for phot/film/video (I had a BB girl do my makeup for a TV show and it looked awesome in person and on film!!). If you don't wear a lot of makeup normally, it may FEEL as if you're wearing a lot, but will not look it.

I am nknown for my lack of BS so honestly, I would tell you, but you really look quite good. I think maybe it would not be bad to blend the cheeks a little better and maybe try a matte lipcolor on your lips -- if you are not used to makeup then lip gloss can feel so makeuppy and the constant need to reapply can be a pain. But honest, you look so pretty.

Honestly I think it looks natural and pretty but that is a really bad pic.. all blurry and makes you look a little distorted - Just being honest!!!!

Obviously not your fault but I cant REALLY tell how the makeup looks in that pic.

Thanks girls. I agree that the cheeks need more blending and the lips are SO not me. I do like her and I did like it at the time, but maybe I should call her and do another trial Thanks girls.

I felt the same way after my trials. I still hate the way I look in makeup but its a necessary evil for pics. I decided no false eyelashes and using only neutral colors. When I used purples for impact, I thought I looked like a drag queen too! My dad actually laughed at me. So go neutral, and find someone you trust. It does get better
BTW- You look great in pics but I am sure you are like me, very natural looking usually and are freaked out in person how you look. But you do look beautiful.

I dont think you look ridiculous AT ALL!!! I think its very natural looking. When you take self portriats your face always looks funny because you're trying to hold the camera, smile and not look like your reaching forward holding a camera! I think the make up is very nice!!!!!!
