DIAMOND—can you believe it, we are unfortunately in t he process of moving (to an apt.) until we have a closing date on our new house. In the process I lost a small but noticeable diamond from my ring. That’s just more money we need to shell out now ?

I lost one of the diamonds on my ring too. Depending on the jeweler (and if you have the ring under warranty) he might just replace it for free or charge you.. My missing diamond cost $60.

Oh I am sorry...as long as it is not the main one, it wont cost you a fortune to replace it...

does anyone have insurance on their ring?? i have been meaning to do that since i got it - but never have. am i just really lazy? does everyone pretty much have this?

I'm sorry about your missing diamond - i would definitely bring it to where you bought it - hopefully they will help you to rectify the problem. good luck...

I do. I wouldnt let FH put a ring on my finger unless it was insured. I work in a questionable neighborhood (ok its bad) and if someone had a gun to my head and asked for it, I'd gift wrap it for them.
I gave FH my renters insurance policy number and brokers fax #. As soon as FH had the ring appraised, he faxed the appraisal to the broker and was insured immediately. Good thing too because the ring costs more to insure than my apartment. Worth every penny as far as I am concerned. I surely do not have enough money to replace it especially with wedding expenses coming up.

I made FH get my ring insured. He called my insurance and told them what he paid for the ring and they insured it from there. I would call who you have renters or homeowners insurance with and ask them about an apprisal. Hope that helped

I have lost two small diamonds from my ring so far... both times i brought it back to the jewelry store it came from and they replaced it for free!! I dont have it insured yet either...

FH insured it before giving it to me...He had it in his parents house for almost a month prior to giving it to me!

First we got the ring appraised at the Jewelry Judge in Mineola. We also got a jewelry insurance application and sent it in the mail.

Im sorry It happened to me...I lost a baguette. I just looked down one day and its was gone! I had it fixed and paid the money which wasnt much since it wasnt too large. I have insurance on it but placing claims on a policy is not the greatest on something that could be under $100. I know...I work for insurance. Im sorry you lost a diamond and hope that you can get it fixed soon and hopefully it dosent cost too much to fix.
