Was it a taxi stand you went to or a livery cab just on the corner? If it's a stand maybe you can go and ask if any of them remember taking you and your FH home last night.

Otherwise, it was an honest mistake! FH should not punish you by not talking to you - he should calm down soon I should think.

i agree with everyone's posts- call the cab company/bar and maybe even go to the bar and scan the floor. you never know- it may have been kicked in the corner somewhere.

i know someone said something about insurance. do you have any sort of renter's insurance for where you live or if you own- any sort of insurance for that? often times- a certain $$ amount of jewelry/valuables is covered under renter's or home owner's insurance.

don't worry about FH- he will calm down- it isn't your fault and he'll realize that- he's just upset right now.

If I were you I'd head back to Legacy ASAP & retrace my steps. You won't be any worse off than you are now & who knows you may find it - there are still a few honest peeps out there. Good luck & sending prayers your way that it all works out for you!!

Well still no word on my beautiful ring I just called my FI and he is still very upset. I think I need to let him get over it. It is just 10x harder for me to have him upset with me. I am going to put an ad in the Brooklyn paper maybe someone will return it. We didnt even get the ring insured yet, which really stinks. I think you all for being so sympathetic with me. I need alot of prayers to St Anthony thanks girls!

I'm so very sorry! thats a nightmare of mine. I hate even taking it off at all. I wish more that your FI gets over it than anything. He needs to be supportive. You both lost something here. I WILL add you to my prayer list! I hope you find it , but if not you will overcome this and be able to move on to happier moments. You can tell your grandchildren abou it some day.

Just a few months ago, the first weekend in August we drank alittle too much in Toronto and we los it, it wa both of our faults which was good, but we took the loss and that was the beginning of MANY fights, odnt feel bad for not having insurance because our wasnt going to cover it anyhow, so we were out the money. I just got a new one not too long ago, I had two days and teh diamond fell out, it wsa a friggin nightmare!!!! Thankgod, it wsa found, fixed and Im a freak now about my ring.
It is just a ring, if yoru FH would call off a wedidng because you lost the ring, he should take a step back and realize it could have happened to nayone and it IS nOT a reflection of yoru love for him. It does ****, I know how you feel, I felt like throowing up, irngs arent cheap, but you will eventually get a new one, just talk to him about everything, let him know how terrible you feel, it wll be ok. Its a crappy feeling through, I remember it all too well!!! Im sorry this happened to you!!!
