I'm back from my honeymoon Wedding Review Added

I couldn't wait to get back on the message board. My wedding was truly the best day of my life. My husband surprised me and sang a song to me at the church. Everything was perfect. Aruba was fantastic!

Okay here is some of the review

Jennifer from Fairytale Makeovers - A++
She is wonderful. She made me look stunning. She got to my house at 5:40 a.m. She fixed my brother (don't ask) and my mother's hair for free. She didn't have to do it but that's what makes her a wonderful professional. She is definitely a great, relaxing person to have around the day of your wedding. Highly recommend her!

Royalty Limos D+

Good thing I researched them and knew not to expect to much. Yes they were on time. In fact 15 minutes early. Everything was fine. By the time we got out of the church the 2 passenger Rolls Royce was leaking gas. There was gas all over the ground that everyone had to lift my dress. The driver said it was another car that was parked there.
When we got into the car and drove to Jericho Terrace (a 45 minute drive) the car fumes were nauseating. We kept saying to the driver this car is leaking gas! And he kept denying it. Finally my husband was like the gas meter says empty! Anyway we called Royalty and since we were only 15 minutes from the hall they said they're was nothing they could do. I was like you better do something. So they sent a Jaguar limo to pick us up at the end of the night. Don't worry this didn't put a damper on the day. Just thought I would let you know.

The flowers were gorgeous! I loved my lavender roses. For the winter brides the arrangement came out beautiful. I asked for Christmas greens, silver Christmas balls, and lavender roses...it sounds like a weird combination but it came out perfect.

Cake - Cakeline A++

My cake was lavender fondant and I was worried (from some old posts) that the fondant was going to taste awful. It was so delicious! She puts lemon and almond flavoring. The inside cake had four fillings: pistachio, hazelnut, orange ganache and almond). People were upset they only got one slice! Cynthia personally set up the cake and also made sure that the maitre'd knew exactly how to distribute the cake etc.

S&S Tuxedos in Hicksville- F+

The night before the wedding when my dad tried on his tux it was way to big! So big in fact he looked like he had been dressed by MC Hammer!!! I started crying. I called them and the guy John said 'well maybe it just feels too big.' I was like no it IS TOO BIG!! To make a LONG story short we drove down there and they gave us a hard time and made my dad try on his outfit which they said fit just fine. Finally I was like just let mydad try on something smaller and it fit just right. They had the nerve to tell my dad (who mind you was a good sport) 'you must like your clothes unusally tight.' I do not recommend this place. They are unprofessional and cannot admit or correct a mistake. My husband's tux was also was not right but he just dealt with it.

Apple Entertainment - B

T.J. is a pleasure to work with. He is a lot of fun and everyone loved him.

Apple Entertainment Video - A

I can't really say to much since I haven't seen the video. But we got a last minute deal (booked the week before) because we weren't going to do video. I'm glad we did. Helene our videographer was wonderful. She was non intrusive...sometimes I didn't even know she was there. She also worked with the photographer to get some of the same shots. And at some point she did table interviews like I said she was on the ball the whole night. I can't wait to see it! I think it will be great.

Cassarino Studios - A
Cynthia was great. She is very serious but she takes great shots. She is very good at making sure that she gets all the shots. I did not have to give her a shot list at all and she pretty much got everything. She was also very conscientious (sp)? that she not take us out of the party too much. She was considerate of our dancing and eating etc.

Jericho Terrace - A+++
They were even better than I could have hoped. My maitre'd Linda was fantastic. She even french bustled my dress so my mom could enjoy the party. She made sure my husband and I had food, drink, cake. She did anything I wanted. She made sure we danced and ate. People say they don't get to enjoy their wedding but Linda made sure we sat down or got up at just the right time. They also glue gunned some bows I put on the seating cards because they were falling off. They really do pay attention to every small detail. All I can say is Jericho Terrace rules!!!

Roslyn Clairmont - A
We stayed here on our wedding night before our trip to Aruba. The room we got is stunning. We had a king size canopy bed and champagne. Well it was a perfect and romantic end to a perfect day!

Yes I heard good things about Royalty too. They did send me a Jaguar at the end so it wasn't too bad. They still say though that the gas leak was not their car but I smelled the fumes on the car ride and his gas tank was on empty. We were only riding from Queens to Mineola.

I am sorry about Royalty. I didn't book them because I thought there rolls was horrible (no offense ladies) but the headliner was hanging down & the inside was filthy (ground in dirt) when I saw it, amongst other things. This is like the 3rd complaint I heard about them but no matter what I am sure your day was absolutely beautiful, as were you!

Aruba-

We stayed at the Wyndham Aruba Beach Resort. It is absolutely gorgeous! They gave us an upgrade for our honeymoon so we got a balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. They also had champagne waiting for us in the room and they gave us honeymoon t-shirts and a free anniversary stay. The property is one of the best I have seen.

My only comment: We went during Christmas time so this may not apply but if there is a specific restaurant you want to eat at make reservations beforehand! Specifically El Gaucho restaurant. I told my co-worker this today and she called because she is going next week. Her first choice was already booked. So keep this in mind when planning.
