i'm bored. what can i do????

i can't book anything big right now until after the holidays. is there anything i can do wedding related now, like the menus or invites. is it to early for this stuff. i'm so bored and i want to do something.

Read lots of bridal mags so you have tons of ideas when the time comes...or check out stuff online.

I've read so much and looked at so much I want about 10 different themes, flowers, etc., but it keeps me occupied on my business trips!

It's never too early!

I have the menus and all that fun stuff done. I even have most of my programs done - and printed. I just have to hold off on two pages until things are finalized.

I must warn you though - I have changed my mind a few times and had to redesign and re-print things. But it has been fun!

I've done the following (for ideas):
- Programs
- Church Direction Cards
- Placecards (not the names yet)
- Favor Tags
- Donation Tags
- Jordan Almond Favor Tags
- Menus (worried about this though in case we make a different selection - but I have extra paper)

And I have purchased all the ribbon and cut it all down to size...can you see I have a problem.

how do i do the menu's, on microsoft word? and what kind of paper do i get?

i didn't even think about doing church direction cards, i should do those now too. what kind of paper for that?

I dont know if it is necessary for your HM, but you can go and get your passports. That is my next mission.

Oooohhh - I need to get a passport.

I used Microsoft Word for everything - probably would have been easier to use other programs but I love word.

I did two menus per 8.5x11 sheet. I got some really great linen feeling paper at Print Icon on 18th between 5th and 6th (I had to go back and buy more - but I have done everything with that paper so it all matches).

I got a sample of the church direction card from the rectory at my church but FH didn't like the directions so we changed them a bit and then tested a few to be sure. Then I just typed them up on work (4 boxes per page) and I'll put them in with the invites. On the back of the cards I printed our monogram to make it pretty.

The way I see it the more you get done ,the less you have to worry about in the future. So do not hesitate to start on thingslike menus.

You have time for the passport for your HM. You can even wait until May if you really wanted to.

As far as the menus, how are you making out your menu? Did you already choose which you want?

I'm in the same position as you. I plan to work on finalizing the guest list and getting some of the stationary materials done like programs, menus, table cards etc. Have you chosen your favors yet?

oh yeah, i have to get the 'we do' letters too. how are you doing yours, with spray paint or regular paint.

i only have one favor so far, but the other one is chocolate, so i'm going to do that much closer to the wedding.
