Re: I'm getting really freaked out....
I miss you too Mish. And Stacy, I hope we ARE on for Monday.I think I'm acting nuts. I left him way too many messages already. I'm going nuts. I think I need to just go to bed. There's no way I'll be able to sleep, but I should just try. Thinking about it is making me feel CRAZY.

Re: I'm getting really freaked out....
OK first off...you need to calm down. At night when you have been through a day like this, everything is worse and just tends to get worse.Does he have a machine that is picking up? If he does then leave a message. Dont yell or scream, explain that you were so worried and why you got upset.
Secondly, I do agree with never going to bed mad but I have found by sometimes trying to live by this, that I try to settle things just cause I am tired and want it over with but the next day brings the same arguement once again because things werent truly figured out.
Third, do what you can do tonight. And I dont mean to add fuel to the fire but do not lose sight of how he worried you or made you angry either just cause he seems to be turning the tables right now. He upset you today, explain that to him. You only worry like that cause you love him so much.
I will be here for about another half hour if you want to talk!

leave him a voicemail saying you were worried about him and that's why you said what you said. hopefully he's understand and all will be OK
trust me i do the same to FH. ONe bad night (more like morning 6am to be exact) he got an earful from me. Ever since, I always get a phone call if he's going out after work.

Re: I'm getting really freaked out....
Well, he never called me back last night, and he should be on his way to work now, and his phone is still off.
I hate that I have to go to work feeling like this. I will not be able to think straight today.
I feel like he hates me. It's not fair that he's doing this to me. I mean, it's not like I can even see him. He's 4 hours away from me, and I just think it's wrong to do if you're SO far away.

Re: I'm getting really freaked out....
Rachel, I agree with you totally, especially with him being so far away. :(See, I would have reacted JUST like you & my bf does the same type of thing (shutting off phone, ignoring calls) so I can sympathize.
If you know he is on road & phone is off, leave a msg at hotel/house or leave a msg for him to call you (at his job).
I'm sure there is a logical explanation for why he didn't call yesterday, but I'd be ANGRY, very ANGRY too when he did call....
Hang in there...try to get through work.....

Re: I'm getting really freaked out....
Rachel.STOP making yourself the one at fault here!
He's the one who should feel bad, feel REALLY bad for making you so worried and MIA for so long! Dont leave him any more messages. Maybe write him a letter to vent off the anger (even if you dont really give it to him). It will all calm down and he will call you again.
Just take today as a day to calllmmm down (not you, HIM
) and Im sure by tonite he will call again and be ready to explain or to listen.
did you sleep ok?

Re: I'm getting really freaked out....
. YOU are NOT wrong. Don't turn this into your fault. It was inconsiderate and is even more so since he turned off the phone. Just take a few deep breaths before you call him tonight so you can calmly (but firmly) let him know why you were so upset.

Re: I'm getting really freaked out....
Ok, well, during my first class today, I got a message from him on my cell phone saying basically that he told me he was not going to be home last night, but I wasn't listening
And he was right. I remember him babbling about it on the phone the other night
He just talks SO much sometimes that I tune him out
I can't help it sometimes, but he tells me about EVERY little detail of his day (so imagine why I was worried when he didn't call at all!). Anyway, he spent the night at his friend from work's house. And the problem with that being that his friend is 70 years old! He made friends with one of the cute old men that's a security guard at his museum and so the old man knows JT lives alone up there and invited him to come have dinner and stay over (they live near Boston, where JT works, we live out in the suburbs.) Anyway, so his old man friend apparently wanted to make sure that JT was entertained from the second he got there till the second he left, and JT was trying to be polite and tell him that he had to go and call me, but he kept showing JT pictures of his kids and then his wife cooked him dinner and made him dessert, etc. So, JT said that when I called him, it was his perfect 'out' to be able to talk to me, but I hung up on him
And he was not mad at me, just really hurt that I was so mean to him becuase I know how lonely he is up there and should have been happy that he was not spending the night alone. He also apologized a MILLION times, but made the point that obviously he would have called me had he had the chance. So when we finally spoke, I apologized for FREAKING on him, but I said I was not sorry for being mad, and he understood. So, PS, to make a long story not so short, everything is ok. I just want to say THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU
I woudl have gone insane last night if it weren't for all of you who took the time out to respond to my insane little thread here. I was very scared last night as to what was going on becuase it was something that had never happened with us before and I thought for sure he was going to ask for my ring back today
But luckily it couldn't have been more the opposite, and thank you so much again! You girls are the ABSOLUTE BEST!
