I'm so upset....

I just got a call from the bridal store that I ordered my BM dresses from. The manufacturer isn't cutting the dress in the color I picked anymmore! I already bought centerpieces to match too. It was hard getting all my girls together since only one lives on LI, I don't know what I am going to do...apparently pick new dresses.=(

What did the dress look like and what color was it?

Can you post a picture of the dress you wanted and the color. Then maybe all the brides on the board can look for something similar on the internet for you. Most manufacturers make similar dresses. Let me know if I can help. Good luck

What did the dress look like and what color was it?

You know, I don't even know who the manufacturer is. It was a lipstick red color- almost like a fuschia/red color. It was irridescent taffida with a tool overlay on the bottom. I guess I'll try to pick a different dress in a similar red color.

If you're interested...

I found a picture from Jessica McClintock that I really liked. It sounds like a similar color, it's strapless, and the skirt is A line, with an organza like overlay. If you'd like, I can send it to you via email. My email address is [email protected] I hope I can help! :) Try not to worry!

That`s terrible!

When the order was put in for your BM`s dresses, the manufacturer should have informed the shop of the problem if the shop didn`t already know. We ran into a similar problem with our BM`s dresses. When we chose the dress we wanted, we were told by the dress shop that they had already been informed that the designer would be stopping production of that style. However we were fortunate enough to get the order in just under the wire. I`m sorry things seemed to have slipped through the cracks in your case. Does the designer still make the dress in other colors? If so, is there another color you might be happy with? Maybe one that would compliment your centerpieces? Is there any way of making adjustments to your centerpieces if you need to? What kind of centerpieces are you going with? Planning can be stressful, but try not to let it get to you. In the end, things will turn out beautifully, and this will be a (not so) fond memory that you`ll remember warmly, even if it doesn`t seem so now. Good Luck!

I am so sorry. Can you pick another dress style by that manufacturer in that same color?

I think that you better get your money back...

because they gave you a contract with the name of the manufacturer, style #, sizes, and color, right? Therefore, they are obligated to send you the dress you ordered or give your money back. I think what they are doing is illegal. Many bridal dresses are similar and I am sure that you can find something else like it from a more reliable company. Good luck

That is horrible

I think sometimes manufactures just do not care how their decision will affect a bride. Did you check theknot.com. They have a very large gown selection to look at. Or I would recommend asking what colors the dress does come in. Perhaps the dress color name just changed and the color is pretty much the same thing.
