I dont know how FH suckered me into making him dinner,
I went to walbaums and picked up a few things...and threw together, potatoes au gratin, Beef Wellington with a black peppercorn sauce on the side. It came out really good except the store i went to didnt have the best meat. but right now i have a Boston Creme Pie
It looks like a giant donut!!!

I dont know how to make alot of things but we both love beef wellington, the puff pastry is the best part!!! Its pretty easy to make too.
I cant wait to have some of this cake it is going to be soooo yummy

Damn GIRL u are going nuts. Beef Wellington and boston cream pie. I don't pull that off EVER! FH better give u some great lovin to show his appreciation for that meal.

That's great! I made candy for my office & FH's today, I love to bake & make treats... I can't make meal, but always do get fab reservations,lol..
BTW: Did you know Waldbaums offers a service: you go online, place your order, choose the time you will be there to pick it up...free of charge, but if you want it delivered it's 10 bucs! I just found this out on Thursay I'm still excited about it

i made a pretty huge dinner myself tonight. yesterday was my dad's birthday so i had both him and my mom and my two sisters, FH & his sister to feed. I made my specialty... chicken cordon blue.... but my own (Rachel Ray) way... instead of ham and swiss, i make it with procuitto (sp?) and fontina cheese... sooooo YUMMY. So I made that with greenbeans and corn and red potatoes and a salad. My mom made creamfilled cupcakes as the 'birthday cake' for my dad. we all had such a good time and everything was deeeeeelish!

that is awesome to know...especially for like the days we do christmas baking....need a few things but dont have the time (it could either be delivered or we could just go in and pick it up)
or the days you need to go grocery shopping but don't have the time....stop and click and go pick it up
I may try this out just to see how it works...sounds awesome!!!!!!!!!!
