Ladies, as u may have guessed my father is a little above and beyond when it comes to this wedding (eg. centerpieces, lighting which ill describe what we are having later, etc.......) so he wrote up a potential menu for FH and i yesterday. Being as though it is our catering facility, the menu will basically be whatever we want (yes i know i am very lucky)
so heres the difficult thing: Ill explain all the food in detail once we have decided def! at the moment we are having 16 passed hors doeurves, 9 crazy stations, then in the ballroom :a pasta course, then a duet course, then a trio dinner plate for everyone instead of options, then .........now heres the thing: dad says i need to have a little dessert, but one that is elegant and different that is never really seen, before everyone goes outside to an over the top afterhours with a vianeese (or however u spell it)
yes its a lot- but what do i do for a dessert?! Some people say do a tipsy trifle, or a Sugar spun basket with white chocolate mousse and blueberries and strawberries since its fourth of july.......i said maybe a prsonal baked alaska or a crepe or something-----i want something diff though that NO ONE has seen at a wedding! What have you seen at a restaurant or something that u can recommend for me?!

I can't believe that after all that food and smack in the middle of where there will be more food... you have to come up with another food item!
I wouldn't know what in the world to eat first!!!! AT ALL!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! This is amazing... I think for the first time EVER in my life I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your spread! Usually I couldn't care less about the food pictures they show... but with you... I want to see those pics damnitt!!! HAHAHAHA!!

Honestly? Why dont you look at upscale desert menue from the internet. Look and see what Tavern on the green offers, and other places.
Once you have an idea then talk to the pastery chef at the place and see what you can come up with.
My place has all sorts of amazing deserts. One is a volcano. When you cut into it all the warm chocolate flows down onto fruit, or cake or something.

I went to Bobby Flay's Steakhouse in Atlantic City a few weekends ago for a bachelorette party and we had this amazing dessert, the baked alaska... it was a brownie with caramel ice cream and marshamallow that was piped out with pecans and chocolate sauce. Oh my god it was amazing... who doesn't love brownies?

Okay this may not be the most classy dessert, but I absolutely love these things and they remind me of 4th of July and a 'classic' American tradition.... s'mores!
