Hello - does anyone know where I can buy a dress plus do alterations in time for May 26, 2008? it can be off the rack (but excellent condition) or new. my budget is under $1000 for the dress. i am open to many styles. is this unrealistic? thanks!

Def check out davids bridal, I bought mine from there and they had to order it but it came in within 2 weeks and it was only $550

definitly davids...
my other suggestion is to go to any bridal salon and see if there are any gowns that they had to pull bc the designer discontinues them. its the sample, but it might be in really good condition and you would prob get a discount.. I did this as a bm in a wedding once...it worked out great

I would post on the 07 boards & on the Newlywed board... I've seen some girls trying to sell their dresses (and if they are same size, could work out). Or, check for some sample sales in the area... Good Luck!!

Try Davids Bridal.
Don't know where you are but Shoreham Bridal was having a sample sale -- all of their samples dresses were 50% off. They do alterations there.

Check out www.thebridalstoreonline.com I got my dress in 2 days its was $399 for the dress, tiara, shall and pocketbook. The only alterations I need are on the bottom cuz I'm a shortie. If you do order a wedding dress from them order 1 size up, they run a lil small. GL!
