I love Tomo!! They have one is Smithtown and Huntington Village. The one in Huntington is a little more expensive, and a little more fancy.

If you live further out east try Kimi's in Port Jefferson. I am a sushi fanatic and this is the place we visit weekly

Re: I need a GOOD sushi place on long Island

OK - Nagahama is finally ringing a bell! I think that might be it!

My sis lives in Massapequa - I will have to try Tai Show when I am out by her.

I forget the name but the best I know of is on Park Ave in Long Beach.....the name is escaping me right now??? That's the only good sushi I've ever had on LI.

Nagahama! That is my fave place! Also, Nagashima on Jericho Tpke. in Jericho (in the same shopping center as Frank's Steaks) is amazing as well.

Kurabarn and Bonbori in Huntington (in warm months Bonbori has an awesome outdoor garden area). Kotobuki rocks (Hauppauge and Babylon) and we like Higashi too (in Syosset). Love Tai Show too!! I don't think you can go wrong with any of those....mmmm I'm hungry

Re: I need a GOOD sushi place on long Island

I think KandE is thinking of Nakahama. The last few times I've been actually weren't the greatest. I like:

Harusaki (RVC)
Taiko (RVC)
Sakura (Oceanside)

I HATE Taiko in RVC! Worst sushi I've ever had!!! I have to try Harusaki though - haven't had theirs yet.
