Hello fellow brides! I just started the process of finding a reception hall and needless to say, I'm extremely overwhelmed.
So far, I've seen Majestic Gardens, Windows on the Lake, Lombardi's on the Sound, and Thatched Cottage. Majestic Gardens and Windows on the Lake weren't for me. Lombardi's was nice but I think the price is to high for what we're getting. And the Thatched Cottage might be a contender.
I'm looking for a place in Suffolk County. I expect to have approximately 100-120 guests. My date is flexible but I would prefer to have it in May 2012. Evening wedding is a must but I'm flexible on the day. I would prefer to have it at a place that only accomodates one wedding at a time. I'm extremely budget conscious and need to keep this under $100 per person, including all taxes and fees.
I know this is a tall order but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Old Field Club!! It's only one wedding a day and you can pick what time you want it to start. It's on the water in East Setauket. The room can hold up to 150 but on a Sunday it's a 100 person minimum and it's $110 per person. You can do a Sunday of a holiday weekend and still get it for $110. We're getting married the Sunday of labor day weekend there..
The food is amazing and they're only cooking for your wedding, it's really intimate and different than your 'typical' hall. This is the room!
I got married at West Sayville CC. They are way under your budget and can hold up to 200 ppl. My wedding was less than 100 people and it was fantastic.

Re: I need help finding a Reception Hall
**Miller Place Inn has an all inclusive package for 100 people I believe.
**Medittearn Manor in Patchogue has a $10,000 wedding all inclusive package also. I haven't heard too many good things about this place in the past but we went to a wedding there in Oct 2010 & it was AWESOME! I def recommend checking it out.
**East Wind is also very nice. A little pricey.
Good luck in your search. I'm from suffolk & I looked at 15 places before picking a place in Nassau. Feel free to FM me with any questions

Re: I need help finding a Reception Hall
Larkfield Manor quoted us 85pp not including taxes for a Friday night in July. You may be able to get the price down. It seemed like you got a lot for what you pay for.

Re: I need help finding a Reception Hall
Smithtown Landing is totally worth a shot for what you are looking for ... they only ask for 100 guarantee and my wedding is on a Friday night in August for under 100pp - including tax and gratuity! So far, they have been more than accomodating with any/all of my questions. Good luck to you!

I totally agree. we had our reception there in 2007 and it was fantastic. the people are wonderful and go out of their way to make it the best day possible.
pics in my album and a slideshow with more in my video lib if that might help you get an idea of the place.
