I need help with my dress!!! UPDATED- I went for a re-fitting tonight
Original post by WinterBride2005
I am making myself crazy with this. I feel like maybe it is too much poof. I am going to attach a pic of the model wearing it and then myself. Please be honest and let me know what you think. I made an appt. for tonight for a refitting. I want to try it on without the slip so I can compare. Maybe they will have a smaller slip for me to try on also. I don't want a ball gown or princess look... something in between.
I am making myself nuts over this. I am not sure if I should just cancel the appt. for the re fitting.
Help me please!!!
Thanks!
Notice how the models dress just flows- it's not full like mine. That's how I want my dress to look.
UPDATE: I am so GLAD that I went back to the salon. My instincts were right. I tried it on without the slip and it looked amazing. It fit ME the way I imagined it would. The seamstress even told me that it looks nicer without the slip. It's not the kind of dress that should be poofed. I took a couple of pictures but need to upload them. I promise to post as soon as I do.
I just want to say how important it is to go with what you want and not what the sales people tell you or anyone else. I went with what was told to me by this woman helping me. I figured she knows the business.. but really it doesn't matter. What matters is if YOU are happy. I am now VERY happy.
Thanks to all for your opinions.

what was wrong with the service. when i went with my sister looking for gowns for her wedding, they were a little pushy. they wanted her to put money down on the gown when she was just shopping around. while a friend got her dress there and she said the service was great.

PUSHY is exactly what they are. I mean I haven't really had a bad experience so I shouldn't say anything negative. I just didn't like the fact that I felt rushed for my 1st fitting. The person 'helping' me kept telling me that I need to make decision and stick to it. It was the way she said it. She made me feel like I was bothering her. I told her that I need to be happy with my dress. It's not like I do this every day. I have no idea what looks good and what doesn't until I try it.

You're dress is gorgeous! It's perfect without an extra slip and seems to have enough volume already.
