I NEED HELP WITH MY WEBSITE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so un-creative !!!!!
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies, here is my very bare website. I don't even know how to continue, Please give me any opinions and suggestions you ma have to make this suitable for public display.
Don't worry, I won't be offended, I know I have no imagination

NOTES:

On the 'Our Pictures' page, my brother just threw some random pics in there, we will not use those pics. Instead, I was thinking of having varioius pics in categories (us as babies, having fun, trips, etc. . .) And they will all be sized the same in squares with a border probably) Right now they are just scattered.

On the 'Our Love Story' page, lazy Len has yet to give his story. But do you think it's too much w/the backround? SHould I just have a plain backround on this? And shoud I put pics of us on this page too?

Any other suggestions on any pages and of course the home page will be welcome. It is so bare right now

I think your site is a good start. You have it organized well and that is the biggest battle.

Here are some suggestions:

a) use a commom color scheme and the same fonts. Try to create a seemless look between all pages of color, font, design and layout.

b) get rid of the 'welcome to liz and len' background. Those sorts of backgrounds are very distracting to the eye and dont help the design of your page.

c)If you keep the white background, put a border around your photos - even if its a black rectangle that is behind the photo, it will make the photos stand out.

d)not sure if this is consistent but your guestbook takes FOREVER to load. Try to fix that.

Since I don't know ANYTHING about web developing I think it looks good. I do think that you could do away w/ the background 'Welome to Liz and Len'

BTW, sorry about the whole guestbook thing. We JUST put that on, and it's not taking comments. We thought we could try and make it a little more pleasing to the eye first. LOL

I feel a little better now. I know I have a lot of work to do

QUESTIONS FOR SONICSTEF AND ANYONE ELSE:

1. this seamless look business, how do I do this? Do you mean if I have white backround on 1 page, have it on all pages? And use same color and font on each?

2. The welcome Liz and Len backround, I had a feeling this was too much, hee hee. Is it too much if I just put it on the home page? Or should I get rid of it altogether?

3. Do you have any ideas ways to categorize the pics?

That is what I mean by seamless - use the same colors, backgrounds, fonts and layouts for each page. Your guest should feel like the pages are all connected by design.

I dont like the 'liz and len' background on anything. Thats just me.

When I did my website I usually try to recreate a professional look...so when you make a design change you might want to think 'would I see this on a good professional page?'

As for photo layout...i think you had a good idea in your first post. Childhood photos first followed by relationship photos. If you have been together for many years maybe you can do them chronlogically. Or if you have some great vacation photos, do it by location. It all depends on what kinds of photos you have to show.

Yeah, the guestbook's not working yet. We just put it on there, we have to fix it so it could accept comments.

Well, I don't need help with the technical aspect, b/c my brother could do anything I ask him to. I need help with the CREATIVE aspect of it. I want it to look pretty. I want everyone to enjoy it.

I think the site is a great start. I agree with getting rid of the LizaandLen.com background. Maybe pick a color that you and Len like and use it as a solid background instead. I think Stef's idea of having a border for your pictures is an excellent one - the pics will really stand out and look polished.

I'm frankly in awe of anyone who has a website - I am web-skills deficient.
