I can only tell you that my vendors didn't charge me tax if I paid in cash. It seems like it was an oversight on their part and they should honor NOT charging you tax if that's what they initially told you.

I agree! It is their mistake and they should honor the contract--they signed it and that was the price you were given. If I remember correctly I am being charged tax on for my photographer/videographer--is everyone else!

THEY ARE HONORING THE CONTRACT IF WE PAY CASH FOR EVERYTHING...WE JUST WERENT EXPECTING THAT B/C WE'VE BEEN CHARGING EVERYTHING...WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOOOO CASH SAVED UP...SO U THINK IM OVER REACTING & SHOULD JUST TRY & SAVE UP TO PAY CASH & STICK WITH THEM?

Does it state on your contract that you needed to pay cash for the entire thing to receive the price??/ Who is your photographer??? I would call them & tell them that you have a contract signed with this price & that you were told you could pay anyway you wanted. If they say the can not honor it without the tax, I would ask to speak to the manager & explain to them

KISSY27....WE PUT DOWN $500 TOO BUT THEY SAID WE HAVE TO MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE OF THE 1ST PAYMENT ANOTHER $1000 BY NEXT MONTH...THEY DIDNT DO THAT WITH YOU?

Nope, we have no payments due...We booked them in Nov 04 & we gave them the $500 then...that was all

Ours does not...We worked with John & that was all...I know their pictures are amazing...i can assure you of that...Unfortunately I don't have my contract on me at work...Did they call you & tell you that you needed to make a payment???

Ours does not...We worked with John & that was all...I know their pictures are amazing...i can assure you of that...Unfortunately I don't have my contract on me at work...Did they call you & tell you that you needed to make a payment???

If this was me - so early on - I would take my business elsewhere! Thats absurd. Tell them you want your deposit back.
My pictures weren't amazing.

WHEN WE MET WITH THE OWNER, HE SAID WE HAD TO MAKE 3 PAYMENTS, 1 FOR THE DEPOSIT, 1 60 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING & THE FINAL PAYMENT 30 DAYS BEFORE THE WEDDING.....THEY SAID SINCE WE COULDNT MAKE ALL OF THE 1ST PAYMENT AT ONCE & WE WANTED TO SECURE THE DATE, WE WOULD HAVE TO PUT DOWN $500 & PAY THE REST OF THE 1ST PAYMENT WITHIN A FEW WEEKS....I FIGURED AS LONG AS WE MADE OUR OWN PAYMENTS TO PAY OFF THE BALANCE, IT SHOULDNT BE A PROBLEM BUT THATS NOT HOW THEY WANT IT.....ERRRRRR

Very interesting...When we met with John, we told him that we would not be paying the full amount until we received our proofs...There is nothing stated on our contract about the 3 payments...I know there is a spot for it, but nothing was written in there...I will be speaking with John soon anyway & I will ask him
