the penthouse at JT is good for a small wedding around 70people, but note to madziara from what i know JT is booked for all of may.

I think douglaston manor is a great choice and heard the price is not that bad

Yeah, I thought you guys had a conversation yesterday about JT being booked, I just mentioned it bec I am so used to doing that, lol. When I went to WM in Feb May of 08 was already booked, alot of places will be booked up, but hey you never know of any cancellations etc

what about terrace on the park in queens, they have a smaller room and i heard their prices are not bad.

Yehhhhhhh, I forgot about that one. I have been there for dances, very very nice decor and you get soooo much food. Visit their website, its close to everything

yeah just wanted to let her know theres a chance so not to get discouraged, i think she should look regardless in case of cancellations.

i feel bad about havving my wedding in the terrace because my friend will have one in april 26.... so i feel that we cant have wedding at the same place... that was my first option, but when i found out that she is having her day ther i decided to go to leonards

oh ok i see...well alot of the other recommendations made are great choices so def check out...maybe call first just to see if they have the date available so you dont run around going from place to place

ohhh Ok but with your situation and if you dont find another place and terrace is still available I would look into that

you should check out Roma View. They don't really have grounds but it's beautiful inside and the food is amazing!!!

Also, close and cost effective.

Have you been to caffe on the green yet.... IMO the actual place doesnt live up to its pictures heavy traffic right there..... and they keep the restaurant downstairs open while your wedding is going on...
Lemme know what you thought of the Lady BM there, she's quite the character.... LOL
But I hear ya about BM's not being on top of things and agree with your decision to move on....

I don't know exit numbers off LIE But we are struggling with $$ and doin Riviera right on water, one wedding at a time, affordable, its a half hour from Kew Gardens Queens....

Or Coral house, thats on a pond and even more affordable than Riviera...

CLM is only ten fifteen minutes further than Riviera also water and affordable...

Grand Prospect Hall in BK - the inside is HOTTTTTT, very famous, it was an old Opera house, I wish I had my wedd there and it ranges from $65-150

Grand Prospect Hall in BK - the inside is HOTTTTTT, very famous, it was an old Opera house, I wish I had my wedd there and it ranges from $65-150

verdis is a great choice-i think FH worked there when he was in college and says the food is good, actually yeah that is the one he worked at

Hey!!! So sorry to hear about your wedding hall dilemma. I have a few suggestions for you.

1. Floral Terrace is located in Queens. It is about $95 a person. It is not on the water. It is actually an old play/movie house. And you get practically a free honeymoon to the Greek Islands.

2. Sand Castle is located in Queens. I heard it is not over priced. However, not on the water.

3. Riviera is in Massapequa, on the water and about $100 per person.

i dont know how negotiable it is...170 is the price without tax and gratuity whenever a place lists a price they give the price w/o t&g. 120 can be the price for smaller weddings but again add the tax and gratuity then even if they negotiate itll be alot.

Another thing about botanical garden is that they have alot of restrictions...if you want a ceremony there it can only be during certain times in the morning, then youre only allowed 45 mins to take pictures there and again only during certain times, they're weird about their policies.
