I just got off the phone with my mom because the FILs are coming and want to meet everyone.

She tells me that she now has breast cancer and may have uterine cancer. She already has kidney stones, an enlarged liver, among other health problems, and has already fought lymphomic cancer.

It was always in the back of my mind when I got engaged that she might not make it to see me get married, but now with this blow, I feel like all these stupid details that I worry about mean nothing at all if she won't be there.

So if I'm not at the GTG tonight, you'll know why. I have to worry about crying at the drop of a hat as it is, without adding alcohol into the equation.

Your family is my thoughts and prayers. I have a father who is ill and I guess I am not caugt up in all the little wedding details, because my main concern is that he is healthy at my wedding. I believe in prayer. I pray for him every night and tonight I pray for you and your family too. I am sure everything will be fine.
