I need your prayers, ladies

I just got off the phone with my mom because the FILs are coming and want to meet everyone.

She tells me that she now has breast cancer and may have uterine cancer. She already has kidney stones, an enlarged liver, among other health problems, and has already fought lymphomic cancer.

It was always in the back of my mind when I got engaged that she might not make it to see me get married, but now with this blow, I feel like all these stupid details that I worry about mean nothing at all if she won't be there.

So if I'm not at the GTG tonight, you'll know why. I have to worry about crying at the drop of a hat as it is, without adding alcohol into the equation.

Janna, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Things happen in life that we can't understand sometimes. Just take each day and cherish it with your mom.
